Comparative - Essay Example Surprisingly, during summer, there is no single city out of the two that can be said to have a hot climate. Vancouver (128) is referred to as one of the warmest Canadian cities and so is Qing Dao (150) which is also known one of the temperate cities in China. During the summer seasons, you will find many people basking the sun in the morning and enjoying the fresh breeze everywhere in the evening. In addition, the beaches of the two cities are normally packed with lots of children whom their parents bring out to have fun. You will find many families down at the beach having barbeque parties. For that reason, summers in those cities have even been named ââ¬Ëthe barbeque seasonââ¬â¢ (130). However when it comes to the winter season, this is completely another different phase between the two cities. Vancouver has the mildest winter conditions among the Canadian cities (131). The rain goes for eight to nine months of heavy rainfall. I do not like the winter period as the rain plagues my heart and the atmosphere is usually lazy. It is even normal for people to get late for work or events since clouds are usually gloomy during the lethargic weather drawling more sleep and less activities. Astonishingly, the situation in Qing Dao is different on winter (150). The weather is rarely somber and the springs and autumn are much clearer. Back in Qing Dao, I used to have winter and spring outings which I cannot do that here. Having outlined the weather in both cities, I prefer Qing Dao to Vancouver. Another appealing thing I found amusing between the two cities is the food. The food here in Vancouver is very impressing. I used to feed on unadulterated Chinese food back in China. I was afraid that I could not get that same kind of food here but to my surprise, I stumbled several restaurants in Richmond that had identical food as to China. In addition, I have discovered many types of food here like the Japanese, Italians, French, Pakistani and Thai. I have to agree from the
